Student Financial Aid

How Financial Aid Works

Financial aid consists of scholarships and grants, loans (which must be repaid), and part-time employment. The university makes every effort within its means to help all students with limited financial resources secure the needed funds.

Early and realistic financial planning is essential to ensure that you will have adequate resources to be able to attend Ohio State and take advantage of the many experiences that the university offers. The Student Financial Aid helps students and their families on all our campuses finance their college educations; therefore, if you have financial concerns we invite you to seek assistance from the Student Service Center (SSC) before changing your educational goals.
