How To Apply for Financial Aid

Different financial aid programs have different application requirements. Most financial aid programs require the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may file either the FAFSA, the Renewal FAFSA, or the FAFSA on the Web with the federal processor. Be sure to indicate The Ohio State University, code #003090, in Step Six on the FAFSA.

Please note: Although the Office of Admissions does not require that you supply a Social Security number on your application for admission, you will need to provide your SSN on the application for admission if you plan to file a FAFSA and want Ohio State to receive it. If you have already applied for admission and have not reported your SSN on your application, please contact the Office of Admissions if you would like to report it now.
