Job # 4245Client Services Aide
Provide comprehensive support services to HIV+ individuals in central Ohio. Responsible for providing supportive services to clients in community settings and will operate in accordance with established agency protocols and ethical standards. This position does make important decisions under strict standards sometimes with or without immediate supervision. Services are guided by the treatment plan established by the case manager in conjunction with the client. Support services may include: groceries, household chores, moving, pet care, childcare.

Provide comprehensive office support to case management team that serves over 1,000 HIV+ clients. Responsible for filing, data entry, completion of forms, assisting case managers with routine paperwork, assists with audits and assists with various mailing. Job # 4243Hotline Staff
Provide HIV/AIDS and STD prevention and referral information to callers from every county in the state of Ohio. This position will provide experience with telecommunications, public health education and data entry. Some marketing opportunities also possible. Job # 4251Minority Outreach Assistant
Assist African American HIV Prevention Coordinator or the Latino American Outreach Coordinator with various aspects of programming, including outreach and education, condom deliveries, recruitment of participants in prevention programming and aiding in design and implementation of new prevention programming. Job # 4246MSM Outreach Assistant
Assist the MSM (men who have sex with men) HIV Prevention Coordinator with various parts of programming, including actual outreach and education, condom deliveries, recruitment of participants in prevention programming, and aiding in design and implementation of new prevention programming. Outreach will primarily focus on men who are gay-identified as well as city-wide locations to reach target population. Work will also include some daytime office hours to assist in the assembly of prevention and testing supplies. This position may also qualify for internship credit. Job # 5452Prevention Aide
As needed, operate HIV AIDS hotline and connect callers with local area resources and support. Help in the preparation and implementation of special events and community programs. Educate community about HIV/AIDS resources and support. Assist Prevention staff with preparation of educational materials. Assist staff with data entry as needed.


Job # 4247Volunteer Services Program Assistant
Assist the Volunteer Services Coordinator with major projects, including but not limited to: volunteer survey distribution, collection and analysis; calculating monthly hours of volunteer service and generating reports. Candidate will also assist with volunteer recruitment and support for special events and fundraisers. Candidate will provide support for all of these activities. Assist with volunteer application process, including interviewing applicants, sending referrals to appropriate paid staff contacts, and implementing follow-up procedures. Provide volunteer training support at a quarterly General Volunteer Training sessions. Collaborate with Coordinator of Volunteer Services to research, plan, and facilitate volunteer management technical assistance training for paid staff. Designation as a work-study eligible location should not be construed as university approval or endorsement of the safety of a work-study placement site. The Student Financial Aid generally makes an initial site visit and may make occasional follow-up visits when feasible, but sites are not visited on a regular basis. When a site is visited, we make reasonable efforts to identify open or obvious conditions that may be dangerous or unsafe at off-campus placement sites, but our staff is not trained to ensure occupational safety or health standards such as OSHA.

Students should take reasonable care and precautions to ensure their own safety. Students should also promptly report any potential dangerous conditions to the placement site and the Student Financial Aid.
