The Ohio State University is required by federal and state regulations to monitor the academic progress of all financial aid recipients. Read ​Ohio State's SAP policy.

Failure to maintain satisfactory academic progress may result in the cancellation of financial aid awards, which include:

  • ​Federal Pell Grant

  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

  • Federal Perkins Program

  • Federal Work-Study

  • Federal Direct Loan programs (Subsidized, Unsubsidized, PLUS)

  • State grants/scholarships

  • All other programs which require the monitoring of academic progress

​The SAP Appeal form ​is available online or may be picked up at Buckeye Link, 281 W. Lane Ave.

  1. Student must meet all of the requirements listed on SAP Appeal form​ and submit all required documentation.

  2. The form and supporting documentation must be submitted in person, together at Buckeye Link, 281 W. Lane Ave., or the financial aid office on your campus by the deadline date published on the form.
